As part of its mandate in Morocco, UNICEF supports national partners in their efforts to improve children’s living conditions, realize their rights, and protect the most vulnerable. Since 2018, UNICEF Morocco has also supported Morocco’s efforts to promote the rights of migrant children within the framework of the implementation of the National Immigration and Asylum Strategy and the Integrated Child Protection Policy (PPIPEM). Consequently, several actions are underway within the child protection program, namely:
- Ensure that decisions taken regarding migrant children in terms of international protection are based on the principles of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child;
- Ensure that all migrant children, regardless of their legal status, have equitable access to essential services;
- Ensure that migrant children have access to reliable and reliable information and participate in decisions that concern them.
In this context, the UNICEF office in Morocco is seeking to recruit an intern to support the various ongoing tasks and assist the Programme Officer – Migration in the implementation and monitoring of the project.
This internship therefore aims to:
  – To support the capitalization of tools and resources developed on the theme of the protection of children in migration situations and the updating of an online resource/training platform;
– Support the documentation processes for activities implemented and results obtained;
– To support the program officer in various activities related to the child protection-migration project;
– To provide the intern with in-depth and practical knowledge of project management and work culture within international organizations, particularly within the United Nations system.
How can you make a difference…
Based on existin
g documents and under the supervision of the Child Protection-Migration Program Officer, the intern will be required to perform the following tasks:
– Participate in meetings for the design, planning and monitoring of initiatives and activities;
– Contribute to the organization of upcoming events within the framework of the project as well as international days and other key moments;
– Support the development of presentations and other documents (French and English);
– To provide ad hoc support to other operations conducted by UNICEF’s child protection-migration programme in cooperation with its partners.
As an advocate for every child, you must have…
– Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, or be a recent graduate, in the
  Field of education, sociology, political science/international relations, demography or social sciences;
– Fluent written and spoken French and English; Arabic is an asset;
– Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel and PPT) and website design and development, etc.;
– Excellent communication skills;
– Strong adaptability and interpersonal skills;
– Experience in project management (internships, student projects, etc.) is a major asset.

Remarks :
- The intern will need to use their own computer equipment.
- The selected intern will be required to share proof of health/medical insurance covering the internship period.
- The internship is for a duration of 3 months, will take place in person and remotely and will start as soon as possible; A possibility of renewal depending on availability and needs may be considered.
- Field visits may be necessary.
- The intern will receive a monthly internship allowance of 2000 MAD.
