Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
• Will understand and try to achieve the monthly and yearly coverage and EPI indicators
• Will have an update list of the EPI and MCH dropouts to follow them in outreach sessions
• Will store, handle and maintain vaccines per Afghan N-EPI/UNICEF/WHO protocols
• Will dispose of contaminated waste in a responsible manner to prevent exposure
• Will provide fixed and outreach EPI activities
• Will maintain a high level of cold chain management all the time
• Will respond immediately to any cold chain irregularity using local possibility including sending Vaccines to other closest health facility with cold chain system
• Will report immediately any irregularity of cold chain to supervisor
• Will provide appropriate patient education to prevent dropout and increase coverage
• Will provide health education for her/his client to fix center and outreach sessions
• Will identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
• Will provide complete accurate clear and on time monthly activity report
Job Requirements
• Education:
Nursing, Midwife diploma
• Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience, particularly in vaccination
• Strong Command on Pashto/Dari
• Working experience in the targeted provinces and familiar with concerned community, geography and culture.
